Nothing that would normally make this place splinters, no!

[While there's plenty of things cooking, so to speak, she's working on designs at her desk at the moment, plenty of blueprints scattered about, but these have her attention at the moment. They look oddly dog-shaped, but that's neither here nor there.

Once she's in a good place to stop, Mid will jump up and bound on over to her dad, looping an arm around his.]

You're not in any trouble, yeah? Just a normal 'let's talk because I missed my completely innocent daughter' talk?

[She was pretty sure she hadn't done anything to get in trouble... recently...]

[..."Completely innocent daughter," eh? While he'll glance around her plans he won't be too nosy and pry. He can respect her privacy? But he will definitely arch a brow at that before chuckling.]

Suppose it might be more than just "normal."

[And then a pause because he wonders how Mid will actually feel and what she might think. No, perhaps she already suspects? Hell everyone would at this point, but there's a difference between a stranger's opinions and thoughts and his own daughter's.

Well he supposes he should just come out with it.]

[Before she can tell him to be out with it, he tells her. It takes her a moment, but if Cid was worried, he shouldn't have been, because Mid lights up almost immediately after.]

Did she?! Am I officiatin' it?! [Yes, she's still hung up on that.] I mean I guess if you tell me no, I'll be disappointed that I'm not but not disappointed that yer both finally there.

[There is definitely some relief, even if he knows he shouldn't have been nervous at all. He knows how supportive she's been about it, but...still. So there's a bright smile to match her own before he laughs.]

I'm afraid there won't be any official ceremony.

[He takes both her hands then, squeezing them gently.]

The plan is to just do it somewhere private, but we can still hold a celebratory party after.

[Mid's face falls a little, but it's replaced quickly with a smile when he mentions a party after.]

Then it ain't official until I officiate it when you get back! ...well, if you and Enna are fine with me makin' it official like that.

[Because family official is better than someone else doing that for them, or something.]

I said I'd do it when I got here, so I'm just making good on me promise, yeah?

[That slight fall in her expression does not go by unnoticed, and he does feel a little guilty. It was one thing he had wondered about, as he does want to share that joy with his beloved daughter. So even though she seems to cheer up, he pulls her into a tight hug.]

When are you goin' then? So I can properly plan for when you go an' come back an' all, yeah?

[It doesn't take much for her to hug him back of course; slight disappointment aside, she's more happy than anything for the two people she loves the most here.]

I'll try t' have everythin' ready by then as long as I have at least a little time.

We don't have a set date yet. Mostly because I don't want to interfere with Clive and Jill's wedding.

But we also can't wait on them forever, so while not next month, the month after has potential.

That's fair, yeah. I guess, just give me a decent heads up so I can deploy the 'make Enna have to eat a piece of cake in front of everyone with you' party, but it does give me enough time to figure everything out for it.

[Already thinking, but that's the Telamon way here.]

I won't make anythin' that'll explode for it, but maybe a real fancy drink fountain. I can't have any yet, but that won't stop me from makin' it. [...] I'll make sure it doesn't spray anyone in the face, either.

[Look, if it's a tradition here, she has to keep up with it. Cid could just.. feed Benna a piece of cake anyway, probably, but smashing her face into the cake?? Absolutely not.]
